2021 Staffing Update

Mr Rob Bray

A further update

In the last edition of Bytes, I provided a detailed staffing update in relation to staff who will be joining us next year and those who, for various reasons, will not be with us in their current capacities in 2021. It is now my great pleasure to provide one further update in relation to a teacher who will be joining our staff next year.

Sharon Kubinyi will already be well-known to many at Nowra Christian School as she is a parent of students at our school. Sharon has also very capably provided her services in the past as both a full- time teacher and as a Casual Relief Teacher at NCS. She will operate in a shared Primary classroom teaching capacity in 2021. I will let Sharon introduce herself in her own words:

‘I feel wonderfully blessed to be offered a position at Nowra Christian School once more. My first full-time appointment at N.C.S. was in 1994. I moved out of the Shoalhaven to start a family but have returned, with my three children now attending Nowra Christian School. It is a privilege that we can be part of the N.C.S. community and to speak openly about the love of Christ.

Continuing my education recently has prompted my interest in Psychology, Diverse Learning, Digital Technologies and Languages. However, my greatest teaching passion is of Mathematics and to invigorate its positive appreciation as interactions within the real-world. I also have a fondness of nature and love to explore the garden with students, looking for sprouting vegetables and fruits and feeding worm-farms. I have also been known to keep a few mini-beasts in the classroom and have found students to be very fond of caring for their rather large and spiky, but still lovable, spiny-leaf stick insects.

My home garden is my favourite hobby, but I also enjoy walking, reading and playing Sudoku.

Since returning to the area I have enjoyed teaching at N.C.S and other local schools. I am delighted that I have this opportunity to fully enjoy the community of Nowra Christian School once more.’
