Roncalli Service

It is heart warming to see the wonderful commitment to Roncalli service learning of so many of our students in Years 7-9. Several students have already achieved above and beyond the required number of hours for their year level: five hours for Year 7, ten hours for Year 8 and fifteen hours for Year 9.

Service hours are to be completed by next Thursday, 29 October. Students are also required to review their learning through service and write a short reflection.

Students in Year 10 are also encouraged to continue seeking out opportunities, although they have until September 2021 to complete their service.  The quiet time after exams are finished may provide some opportunities to get ahead.

For any enquiries concerning Roncalli Service, please contact me via email:

Soccer Development Program

We are excited to announce that we will be proceeding with the Soccer Development Program to be run by J & J Football Training.

All players from Years 1 to Year 10, any gender and all playing abilities are welcome to join and participate in the clinics.

These small intense soccer clinics sessions will take place on the College ovals on Friday afternoon from 3:30pm to 4:30pm for 8 weeks and cost $195. With the first session commencing on Friday 23 October 2020. There is one coach for every 6-8 participants.

The focus will be on learning basic or improving advanced soccer skills, depending on each participant’s level, and more generally, on enjoying the benefits from playing a team sport to boost confidence, increase skills in concentration, persistence, self-discipline, and the ability to ‘think on the run’.

To secure your child’s place on the program please complete the following form https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=Iy-FxTM2KU-zhlHaU-NeI4fO5fE1KuVBpnYb15FwdC5UQzNHOTkxQU5WTVBTWFAyQzJXM0VWTkYyVi4u

You will also need to make payment of $195 prior to the first session. Payment needs to be made direct to J & J Football Training.

ACC Cross Country Champions

On Friday 21 September, John XXIII College hosted the 2020 NAS ACC Cross Country Carnival. Sacred Heart, Newman, Chisholm and Servite College all travelled to the College grounds to compete on our specialised cross-country track prepared and marked out by our very talented grounds staff. Our team of students ran incredibly to finish in top position out of the five schools. These results were then sent to ACC where they were ranked against the rest of the ACC schools to determine the overall winner.

It is extremely pleasing to announce that John XXIII College were the Overall Champions of the Virtual ACC Cross Country Carnival for 2020. Congratulations to our very talented and determined ACC Cross Country Team on this outstanding result.
