Wellbeing

Returning to TPS

Ngoon Godgin to everyone who attended our Growing Together Parent Webinar, there is a Foundation 2021 Parent Webinar on Thursday 22nd October.

The number one for all Victorian State Schools in returning onsite is Mental health and wellbeing!

At TPS we have been focusing on mindsets and behaviours with our return to school:

  • Coping and resilience
  • Stress and anxiety
  • Self esteem
  • Learning skills
  • Behaviour
  • Social Skills and Friendships

Via our existing programs:

  • Deadly Values - School Wide Positive Behaviour
  • Respectful Relationships
  • Zones of Regulation
  • Find my 5
  • Wayapa
  • Safeminds

Did you know we are a Safeminds school?

At Thornbury Primary School we “take care of our mob” and “work together” and I would like to thank the entire school community - students, staff, parents and carers for working together to ensure our children’s wellbeing has been beautifully supported!

I regularly post Wellbeing ideas for families on Compass.

Strawberry Gum

Eucalyptus olida, also known as the Strawberry Gum, is a medium-sized tree to 20 m, endemic to the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales but cultivated in regions further south.

Flowers are cream-colored and are followed by small woody capsules. The glossy green leaves are intensely aromatic.

Strawberry gum is used to enhance the flavour of cooked fruit dishes, desserts, or spiced jams, bringing out the classic ‘berry’ flavour. Use also in herbal teas and carbonated beverages
