Art and Craft Term 4

I am so excited to be back teaching in the art room again! This term I have the whole school exploring Australian animals and clay. 

The Foundation children are making pinch pot turtles and the Year 1/2 students are making pinch pot owls. They are having a wonderful time getting their hands dirty and using their imagination to add extra details to personalise their clay works. 

The 3/4 students are looking at reptiles and the 5/6 students can choose which animal they want to make out of clay. The Year Six students are also making their community tiles which will be placed on our red brick building next to previous year six tiles.

This term the mainstream students will also explore textile art by using wool and fabrics to create artworks. 

The Steiner students will continue on with their craft program by finishing their knitting that they started in term one. Please return all knitting that was taken home during remote learning. 

Thank you everyone for all your support and kind words about the art/craft program during remote learning. I am putting together a display of the children's artworks which is to be placed next to their classrooms.
