WHAT'S HAPPENING

PREP KYABRAM FAUNA PARK EXCURSION

A reminder that our prep students have their excursion to the Kyabram Fauna Park on Thursday 5th November, they will be departing at 9.30am and returning at 3.00pm please be sure you are at school on time and you provide a packed lunch, snacks and a drink bottle of water.

If you haven't already please return your permission slip on Wednesday.

BRINGING TOYS TO SCHOOL

At this point in time we would really appreciate it if toys from home did not come to school. We have noticed a few Ooshies around at the moment and know that the kids like to swap and share etc, in the current climate this is not hygienic so we ask that all toys remain at home.

GRADE 5/6

Warmer days are here and our grade 5/6's have a few more P.E sessions for athletics in the coming weeks. Our classrooms teachers would be very grateful if you could have a chat to your kids about wearing deodorant and perhaps pop a roll-on deodorant in their school bag.

FACE COVERINGS

Keep safe. Keep Vigilant.
Wear your face mask properly.

Following the recent announcement that face coverings will be mandatory for all Victorians from Monday 3rd August, we can share the following advice from DET. This information will be updated if we are advised of any change.

Primary students who attend primary school will NOT be required to wear a face covering. Students who are aged 12 or over by Year 6 will NOT be required to wear face coverings. The Victorian Chief Health Officer has advised that it is not practical to require some primary school students to wear face coverings while others are not required to.

Teachers and Education Support Staff

Teachers and education support staff will not be required to wear face coverings while teaching, but those who wish to do so, can. Teachers should wear face coverings in other areas of the school when not teaching (for example, in the staff room, on yard duty and when providing first aid or taking temperatures), and when travelling to and from school.

Parents and Carers

Consistent with all those 12 and over, parents/carers will be required to wear face coverings whenever they leave the house, including for school drop off and pick up. If they are travelling in a car alone, or only with members of their household, they do not need to wear a mask.
