Best wishes to the Class of 2020

On Friday we farewell the Class of 2020. We wish them all the best as they begin the final period of revision before their exams. It is with great pride that we have seen the growth of our students, their incredible transformations and their maturity in coping with Coronavirus restrictions in their final year. Our Year 2020 cohort will be remembered as the COVID Class who took things in their stride and gave everything a go. We are enormously proud of your resilience and strength. Well done!

Farewell Class of 2020, and good luck in all your future endeavours!

Year 10 AEL Work Experience

Year 10 AEL  have been able to access work experience this week, and their teachers have  been visiting them on their placements. This is a valuable experience for our students and an important part of the AEL program. In preparation for this we had 34 students complete their White Card Training last week.

There will be a final two-week block of work experience for our AEL students starting on the 23 November.

Year 12  Reports

Year 12 Unit 3/4 and VCAL End of Semester Reports are now available. This includes Year 11 students who have accelerated into a Year 12 subject.

For students still with “Not Satisfactory” results that need to be redeemed over the next week, once they  have satisfactorily demonstrated any required resubmissions we will update their report and provide you with the latest version that reflects a satisfactory completion of a unit.

VCE Booklists and Step Up Program

Year 10 and 11 students will undertake the Step Up Program for their Year VCE studies in the weeks of November 23rd & 30th. In readiness for this VCE book lists are available online at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TanLvw15wJ6J1iXHmxWhSItlZXgiVRdN/view?usp=sharing

and can also be found under SIMON links at VCE Booklist 2021. Students will be provided with a paper copy of this as well as instructions on how to order online.

VCE Book Lists were due online by Friday 23rd October. If you haven’t ordered your resources please do so as soon as possible. All orders will be posted to the selected address FREE OF CHARGE in the week ending Friday 13th November.  There is an option to purchase books secondhand through Sustainable School Shop.  The booklist timeline has been brought forward to ensure that VCE students have the necessary resources for both Step Up weeks and over the summer break. Step Up enables students to start their VCE studies in earnest, including the provision of some preparatory homework for the holiday period, with a view to alleviating some of the time pressures and constraints of next year.  Consequently it is an important time in the life of a VCE student and it will be crucial that our students bring the right mindset to it.

We look forward to an exciting, challenging and rewarding 2021 for our VCE students.
