Music 

The Senior Piano Trio comprising Brooke Hillam (Piano), Milo Cooper (Cello) and Millie Davidson (Viola) as part of their selection for the Musica Viva, Strike a Chord Chamber Music Competition have had the opportunity to work with Queensland based, international cellist Molly Kadarauch.  Molly has been a regular member of all of Australia’s top professional orchestras and is a member of the Australian World Orchestra.  She visited the Simons Auditorium via Zoom and was so impressed by the calibre of the ensemble that she workshopped the trio for over an hour. Connecting with music industry continues to inspire our young musicians in their music journey.

Percussion, trumpet and guitar students are undertaking their lessons remotely with Mr Hansen in Melbourne and Mr Mansell and Mr Walsh now unable to cross the South Australian border.  For those at the senior school, make sure you attend your lesson in the Orchestra room, with your computer fully charged.

Notification of absence from music lessons

Parents and students are reminded to include both the Director of Music and Music Administrator when notifying the College of absence from school if a music lesson is to be missed.  Lessons cannot be rescheduled at short notice and without adequate notification will be charged.  Direct communication with teachers is also encouraged.
