Specialist Home Learning: 

Week Beginning August 10

During Home Learning for Term 3, Specialist subjects have again been timetabled once a week for 25 minute blocks. All tasks this time will be presented in a ‘menu-board’ format. There will be four tasks for each Specialist area and pupils will be asked to complete one task from each specialist subject over each week.

Physical Education 

In P.E this week, some of the highlights are:

 

Preps to Grade 2 - 'Knock 'em Down' Target Game; Can you hit all your objects?; Yoga                                               and/or fitness workouts.

Grades 3 and 4 - Have a go at building your own throw golf hole; complete a physical                                             activity planner.

Grades 5 and 6 - Create your own target game and play with your family; Tabata fitness.

LOTE - Italian

In Italian this week, some of the highlights are:

 

Preps to Grade 2 -  Listen to the song 'Via dei matti numero zero song' & learn about 'la                                           mia casa' (my house; Learn the Italian Alphabet.

Grades 3 and 4- Learn the sounds of the Italian alphabet through song; Learn how Rome                                    was named.

Visual Arts

In Art this week, some of the highlights are:

 

Preps to Grade 2 -  Play the 'How Surreal Art Game'; Send someone a message in a bottle

Grades 3 and 4-  Use the template to play the 'Funny Things' drawing game.

Grades 5 and 6- Complete the still life painting challenge; Follow the instructions to make                                  your own patterned paper using printmaking.

Performing Arts

In Performing Arts this week, some of the highlights are:

 

Preps to Grade 2- See if you can make a family rock band using items from around your                                      house as instruments; Create your own 'Animal Friendship' dance.

Grades 3 and 4- Learn to beatbox; Have a go at realistic and exaggerated acting in 'Tall &                                   Truthful Tales'.

Grades 5 and 6- Learn about the art of 'tutting'; Use your imagination to create a                                                   character monologue in 'Life in a Packet'
