Father’s day is approaching and I would love for photos to be sent to me via this 

Google Form. 

If you do not have a Google account please send photos to clare.bisby@olhceltham.catholic.edu.au

We are after photos of children with their father or significant male (uncle, grandfather or friend) to be used within a liturgy which will take place in the community space

Father’s Day liturgy the 1st of September: 2:50-3:15pm

The Father’s Day stall will be the morning of Thursday 31st of August.

The Sacrament of Confirmation: St Patrick’s Cathedral, East Melbourne, on Sunday, 15th October, commencing at 2:30 pm (please arrive about 2:10 pm).

Confirmation Faith Night for Parents:

You are invited to attend (parents only) our ‘Confirmation Parent Faith Formation Evening’

on Monday 7th August, 7 pm at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Henry Street, Eltham.

This evening will begin the preparation of the Sacrament of Confirmation for your child, which is scheduled to be celebrated at St Patrick’s Cathedral, East Melbourne, on Sunday, 15th October, commencing at 2:30 pm (please arrive about 2:10 pm).

At the information evening, you will be introduced to the Sacramental team and the process of preparing our students for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Emphasis will be placed on preparing our students in partnership as a ‘Parent Initiated, School Supported and Parish Based Program’.

Fr Michael will highlight the historical perspective of Confirmation, and parents will be informed of the resource, ‘Becoming Catholic Confirmation - A practical guide for Families’ By Kathy Horan. This book aims to assist parents in helping to prepare their child at home, as well as building their faith formation, in partnership with conversations that will also be taking place at school. The idea is this text will be the catalyst to open up the ‘God talk’ at home with reference to scripture and opportunities for family activities and reflection… ‘What is the Sacrament Confirmation?” We will also discuss how the Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated within the Parishes of Montmorency and Eltham.

Towards the end of Term 3, parents will be provided with a Google Form to enrol their child for confirmation. You will be required to record the following information: the names of the child's parents, baptism date and place, and your child will need to know their confirmation name and sponsor's name.
