Wellsprings High Tea

Last Saturday we welcomed Wellsprings to the College for their annual High Tea. The event was hugely successful as a fundraiser and a community event.

Please enjoy below reflection and photos from the wonderful team at Wellsprings:

🫖 Our hearts are overflowing with joy as we reflect on what was undoubtedly the most successful High Tea ever! 🎉 Our cherished friends and colleagues gathered at Kennedy Hall, Killester College for an afternoon of pure joy and solidarity.

🍰 With delicious treats, delightful games, and laughter that echoed, we felt an outpouring of love and support for the heart of it all - Wellsprings Women's Emergency Relief Fund. This year, the need was greater than ever due to the challenging economic climate, affecting vulnerable members of our community who are facing soaring living costs.

🤝 The generosity of our community was astounding, as everyone dug deep and donated to our cause. The camaraderie during the High Tea was nothing short of heartwarming. We extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you who contributed and/or joined in the delightful company of wonderful people. 🙏

👏 A special shoutout to Nina Taylor MP, Eden Foster, Sophie Tan, Vicky McIver, and all our distinguished guests - thank you for being champions of our cause! 🏆 And a big thank you to Killester College, Sally Buick, Loreto Cannon for hosting us at their exceptional new venue.

👨‍🍳 Last but not least, immense gratitude to our dedicated staff and volunteers who poured their hearts into creating a magical experience with an array of scrumptious delicacies. 🧁 Our High Tea is always a cherished event, and this one was especially memorable.

💖 We are truly humbled by the support we've received. We couldn't have done it without each and every one of you! 🌟

Well, you can improve your English because Killester College runs a ‘Conversational English Class for adults’ every Monday morning from 10.00am till 12.00pm during school term, for parents, family members and friends.  Classes are fun, where you are safe to try your new language skills in a friendly place. Saver Plus Program

Saver Plus is a free financial education and matched savings program offered to lower-income families to help them budget and save for education costs. At Saver Plus, we pair participants with a savings coach while they budget and save over the next 10 months. Participants attend online Zoom workshops to learn tips, tricks, and information to grow their budgeting and savings skills. With the FIFA Womens Football World Cup due on our shores this year, we would like to see the number of female footballers grow, not only for us but for the nation in general.
