School Council President : Peter Van Buuren

We have an exciting new team representing the school community.

I’d like to thank previous members Angela, Amanda, Harriett and Sonya for their amazing support, the many working bees, fund raising events and contributions to the community. The new climbing frame on the oval is definitely a highlight from the last few fundraising events.

Our new members are Justine, Zaf, Alex and Nathan with returning members Adam, Ben, Pey, Jason, Sam with Deb, Jacqui and myself.

We do still have a vacancy so if you’re looking to become active in the school council let the office know.

We have an amazing community who are always there to bake cakes, remove some weeds on a working bee, cooking sausages at a BBQ or helping with children reading just to name a few.

Thank you for your continued support,

Peter Van Buuren

School Council President.

Reflections from a Parent who attended the Year 5/6 Camp:

As a parent who attended the camp to support a child with some extra needs, it was heartwarming to see all the kids having so much fun.

This year’s camp was amazing.  The whole venue ánd set up was so much better than last years.  It offered so many new activities and, yes, some of them were a bit scary, but what amazing opportunities for the kids to try if they felt confident enough.  There was always lots of excited chatter when comparing who did what.

I also wanted to extend a huge thank you to the teachers who went along – seeing everything from a more ‘inside’ perspective - I can honestly say that they earned their break and much more.  There was no down time for them – but they always had a smile on their faces, made sure there were lots of fun things to do, served food at meal times, walked around at night until everyone settled down, got up again during the night if needed and even assisted to stuff sleeping bags back into their covers on the last morning – the one task nobody enjoys!

It was such a pleasure to be part of the adventure!

Thank you

Nicole Koglin
