NAPLAN 2023

Year 5 students completed the NAPLAN in Term 1. NAPLAN results were sent home with students in a sealed envelope addressed to parents last week. We hope you have had the opportunity to talk through the results with your child and celebrate their achievements. Please speak to your classroom teacher if you have any questions or concerns.

Sovereign Hill Excursion

“EUREKA!” The word we are aiming to hear at Sovereign Hill as we prepare for our upcoming excursion. We are thrilled and excited for our upcoming excursion to Sovereign Hill for the Year 5 cohort next Thursday, 10 August, aligning perfectly with our Australian Gold Rush theme this term. Sovereign Hill is a captivating living museum located in Ballarat, meticulously recreating the 1850s Gold Rush era with its authentic buildings, exhibits, and costumed interpreters. Visitors step back in time to experience the bustling life of miners, discovering the hardships and triumphs of that pivotal period in Australia's history.

The anticipation among the students is palpable as they eagerly await this enriching experience. To ensure a smooth process, we kindly request parents and guardians to provide their consent and complete the payment on Compass before the trip. The addition of a delightful dinner in Ballarat before our return aims to maximise our time exploring and immersing ourselves in the historical wonders of Sovereign Hill.
