MACSSIS 2023 - Get Involved

Throughout each year, we pause to listen to our students, families and staff to gauge how our learning community is travelling. This feedback is invaluable to our progress.

A significant and formal way in which we engage and gather data is through MACSSIS, the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools – School Improvement Surveys.

Further information will be provided in coming weeks. We encourage our families to participate in this confidential feedback. As a school we evaluate and adjust and change our plans informed by data we gather. MACSSIS data is a key source on information that informs our school improvement and our 2024 Annual Action plans.

Spread the News!

We have moved to electronic applications. Enrolment forms are available via our website.

Places are available for children moving into the area.

Preparing for 2024

We are commencing the process of making arrangements for 2024, which also includes budgeting and staffing. It is important that if your child is not returning in 2024 that you notify the school in writing. We encourage you to do this now or as soon as possible.

Our New Hall

This week Lulli held her first PE specialists classes with our juniors. It was a rainy morning and both Lulli and the children loved being in the multi-purpose hall for their PE lesson.

Help Needed - Many Hands Make Light Work!

At SFS, we encourage all parents to get involved in various school activities. Your presence at the school helps us enrich the students' experience and your own children will love seeing you at school.

This week we took delivery of 200 new chairs for our new hall. They came in groups of 4 all securely wrapped up in plastic wrap. We need adult help to unwrap the plastic and stack the chairs in groups of 6. If you have a Working with Children Check you can help us at any time during the day or before or after school. The task can be broken down so you can do one or a few. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just drop by and sign in.

Our Parents & Friends Association are looking for volunteers to help them sell popcorn and chips each Friday. It's a small time commitment - from 10:50 am - 11:20 am once or twice a term. If you can help, please email sfspfa@sfslynbrook.catholic.edu.au

Unfortunately, if we are not able to get enough parent helpers to sell these treats every Friday, we will have to cancel popcorn and chip sales. This would be a real shame because the students look forward to this treat each Friday and it teaches them valuable lessons about responsibility, looking after their money and calculating if they should receive change.
