Weeks 3 & 4: Willy Kids are Brave

Being brave means different things to different people. Being brave is the personal characteristic of being able to face difficult situations and challenging circumstances.

There are many words to describe bravery; courage, valour, fearlessness, boldness, gallantry, to name a few.

Bravery is about pushing out of our comfort zone, being prepared to try, knowing that we may fail, and having the attitude to try again.

Being brave isn’t something that we have to be by ourselves. It is not just about having a go when we may be scared. When we are brave, we are prepared to lower our guard and ask others for help.

Willy Kids are brave in many ways;

·      We take on challenges with a positive attitude

·      We try again when we fail at something

·      We chase our dreams and ambitions

·      We put up our hand and ask for help when needed

·      We support others to be brave and encourage our classmates

All great things start with the bravery of individuals, groups or an organisation’s willingness to have a go!
