From the Principal

Dear Families,

Welcome to Country and Smoking ceremony.

This coming Monday 31st July, the school will be hosting its first ever welcome to country and smoking ceremony which will be undertaken by the Bunurong Land Council. This is a great way to start our school event celebrations as we look to acknowledge the history of our land and our First Nations.

School Celebration

The school welcomes the community to attend our 150-celebration day on Friday 4th August. Further detailed information wasemailed to all families last Friday 21st July regarding all the details of the event. We are keen for our community to be involved by attending the planned parade, watching the range of activities, and enjoying our choir and bands while we cut the cake. We look forward to seeing everyone there.

As part of the celebrations we are also inviting Ex-Willy Kids in particular the graduating classes of 2020 and 2021 who effectively had their final WPS years interrupted by the COVID pandemic.

We invite these Willy Kids to join us from 9am-11am. Karen Anderson (Bayview Campus Principal) and Gino Catalano (College Principal) of Williamstown High have provided their support for this invite as well for ex-students who attend Williamstown High School.

We look forward to seeing everyone dressed up and enjoying the activities.

100 Days of School - Prep

Tuesday 1st August will see our prep students celebrate their first 100 days of school.

This is a huge achievement in what will be a big week for them all, and another reason to dress up.

Winter Sports

We wish our T-Ball Team all the best next week as they head off to the Regional Finals in Geelong on Monday. What an amazing effort to get to this stage.

2024 Prep Enrolment Applications

A reminder to all families who have a prep starting school next year or know of any families with a student starting prep that all enrolment applications need to be submitted by tomorrow, Friday 28th July. Once applications have been received the school will then communicate placement offers through a multi round process.

Warm regards,

Mathew Montebello
