Wowee what a Term is has been! 

We have had so much fun this Term in PE class, in PE incursions and in interschool sport. So many people to congratulate!

• Well done to all of the swimmers who participated in the District Swimming competition, they all gave 100% effort and showcase excellent skills. A special mention to Tadhg B, Amber C, Chloe H-G, Billy L & Mikayla R who made it through to the Division level and competed beautifully. An extra special congratulations to Amber C who then progress through to the Region competition, it is such an incredible achievement! 
• The Grade 5/6's displayed such amazing sportsmanship, enthusiasm and skill at the Summer Sports round robin last week! They should be all very proud of their efforts, we sure are! Across the sports the students achieved some very impressive results with one of the Volleyball teams placing second, one of the Cricket teams placing second, the mixed Hot Shots Tennis team placing second and the girls Hot Shots Tennis team placing third. We are all very excited to start training for Term 2's Winter Sports now.
• Our Grade 1/2's had such a fun time learning all about Taekwondo this Term. Watch out for the little ninja's taking over the school! Great effort Grade 1/2's.

Now a couple of announcements:

1. Our whole school Athletics Carnival has been postponed due to the poor weather forecast. The event will now be on Tuesday 30th of March and we can now happily welcome spectators to come along and cheer everyone on! Don't forget to wear your house colours. GO THORPE!
2. I am super excited to announce that myself and Mrs. Layton will be running the Rolling Hills Netball Club's Net Set Go program throughout Term 2 & 3 on Monday afternoons from 3.45-4.30pm. We encourage all students from Prep to Grade 3 to come along and give it a go! We will have lots of fun, develop some great skills, learn really valuable team work qualities, create some lifelong relationships and much more.  I have attached the information sheet to this page, we would love to see you all there.
