A Prayer for Mothers Day

Lord God,

In your plan of creation, you included mothers in your work of creating and nurturing new life. In you is found all the strength we need as we remember our mothers during May.

O Jesus on the cross, you gave to the whole world your own mother.

Since Mary is the model for all mothers, we turn to her with our own petitions and pray:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.

Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.
