SAKG

Dear Parents and Guardians of students at Weeden Heights Primary School,

My name is Alice Carter and I will be the new Kitchen Specialist starting term two in the kitchen garden program. This is a very exciting opportunity for me and I’m sure the students are eager to get back into the kitchen and cook some delicious food with the produce they harvest from the school garden.

I studied at Deakin University, Burwood where I completed a Health Sciences Degree. I think the students are very lucky to be involved in such a wonderful program and I hope that I can guide and work with the students.

The kitchen garden program will be up and running in the second week of term two (April 26th) on Mondays. I will need volunteers to help myself and the students in the kitchen and would love it if you could join me for a class. This program will only run smoothly and successfully with the help of parents, grandparents, community volunteers etc. If you are available and can help me out, I would love to hear from you.

I hope you all have a wonderful, safe and happy Easter and I look forward to working with you all in term two.

Kind regards,

Alice Carter
