Summer Sports Recap

From Ben, Sports Teacher

Cricket

By Twinkle, 6B

On the 19th and the 26th of March, the two amazing cricket teams of North Melbourne Primary School participated in the inter-school Cricket Tournament, competing against other schools in the area. Both teams displayed great sportsmanship and fiery spirit- each coming back with a win in their pocket. They both finished well, Team A placing fifth on the ladder, Team B chasing close behind - coming seventh. It was an excellent experience for everybody, and we all had lots of fun, and we’re definitely excited for the next sports day out.

Girls Soccer

 By Abigail and Sassy 6E

On Friday the girl and boys soccer team went to Fairborn Park to play soccer for inter school sports. The girls team won all three games and the boys team won three out of four games!

Then the following Friday we went back for the last few games and the FINALS! The girls got into the finals but the boys didn’t. For the finals, the girls competed against St Mary’s Primary School but, sadly the girls lost by one goal.

Everybody had a great time even though we didn’t win everything. Luckily, everybody, there was a good sport which made it even better.
