Wellbeing

From Anna-Marie & Zoe, Wellbeing team

Our Values

As part of our focus on Wellbeing, we spent time on our curriculum day looking at our NMPS values of Responsible, Inclusive, Sagacious and Ethical. Our session was framed around what these values are, how they are best demonstrated by all members of our community, and what examples and resources we can attribute to the whole school embodiment of them. Meaningful conversations occurred around further education, effective strategies, and implementation to further demonstrate and promote our values across all areas of our school and community.

We look forward to further involving our students and community in this vital and ongoing work.

Murdoch Children’s Research Institute – Speech Study

We are very excited to be working with The Murdoch Children’s Research Institute as they work on developing a digital assessment to diagnose speech disorders. Please read the information below for more details.

The Murdoch Children’s Research Institute is developing a new digital assessment to diagnose speech disorders and help guide treatment of these conditions. As part of the development, we will be testing this new tool on children and adolescents (ages 2 to 16 years) to see how speech typically develops across the population. We would like to invite all children at North Melbourne Primary School to participate. If you choose to participate, a speech pathologist will come to the school and conduct a brief speech assessment with your child during their usual hours of attendance. We will also provide brief reports of the children’s individual outcomes. If you are interested in taking part, please click on the link below.
