Principal's Message

Dear Parents, students and the wider community,

Week 10 is done! It has been great to have everyone back for the majority of the term after such a COVID interrupted 2020. I trust this break will provide everyone with a welcome break to recharge their batteries in readiness for a fantastic Term 2.

Thank you for making arrangements to ensure a pupil-free day last Friday. The staff reviewed our Behaviour Management Policy in line with new MACS recommendations and completed two modules of the Intervention Framework.

As we journey through our Easter Week it was a real pleasure to invite our parents into the hall to view our "Stations of the Cross" Liturgy. Please remember to sign in, sanitise and socially distance. Masks of course may be worn if that makes you more comfortable and social distancing is not possible. Parents next term may also attend assembly each Monday afternoon should they wish too. You may like to check the Parish website so as to join with our wider Parish community during this Easter period in our Church.

Next term we will hold our Easter Bonnet parade and Alleluia Day on Tuesday 20th April. Usually we do it first day back of Term 2 but this can cause families to miss it in the excitement of a new Term commencing!!

Lord, may I open myself to the great gift of your love, and may I share it with anyone in need. May I provide a sense of direction for anyone who has lost the way. And may I endeavour to help the sad and anxious with the hope that your rising gave to the world. Amen.

Stay safe, enjoy a break and may God bless you all,

Rod Shaw

Principal

If there is still no response, and the school feels that the child is in danger, the police will be contacted.

Ongoing unexplained absences or lack of cooperation regarding student attendance will result in a formal conference being organized. Unresolved attendance issues will be referred to D.H.H.S.
