From the Principal

Term 4, Week 8, Kevin Kennedy

Dear Families,

End of Year Concert

What a wonderful evening. We were fortunate to have great weather to support the lovely setting on the school oval. The students performed their hearts out and danced with a lot of enthusiasm and energy.  I would like to thank all the students and staff for all their efforts and for the fantastic support from the crowd.  I would also like to thank all our volunteers who organised and cooked the BBQ, they raised $647.20.

Enterprise

The upper primary students Enterprise event prior to the concert was one of the year’s highlights.  The stalls were selling everything from jewellery to fairy floss. They also included tossing  water balloons at your favourite (or least favourite) West Beach staff member, they actually hurt but it was for a good cause.  The crowd in the STEM room was like being at the Central Market, the students and teachers were very grateful for the support of the school community.  I would like to thank Mr Reid, Mr Bahnisch and Miss Lola for giving the students such a great opportunity and acknowledge the efforts of the students who committed to this project whole heartedly.

Reports and 2022 Class Placements

The student reports are almost finished and the class placement process is completed. Both documents will be sent home on the last day of term, on the same day students will have the opportunity to visit their 2022 classes.

If you have any queries or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards,

Kevin Kennedy
