From the Archives

Can you help to add to our archive collection?

We are always appreciative when alumnae are able to donate or loan precious items to the school for the archives collection.

Photos can be scanned and returned to you.

Please contact our Archivist

Barbara Kowalski if you can assist.

Sandy Curnow (Bladin 1956)

During some recent cleaning, Sandy found a First Communion Rosary set from 1946 which will be a  wonderful addition to our archive collection. Previously we only had a bag which doesn't include a rosary set.

High Tech!

As you read this newsletter on your iPad, smart phone or laptop we go back to high tech in the early to mid 80s. These Apple computers at Sacré Cœur in 1985 only had external disk drives to run programs and store data.

Computer Studies was introduced to the School in 1981 – taught in that year by

Mr Fuller and then by Ms Akins, as in these photos of the Computer Room taken in 1985. Check out the dot matrix printer in the bottom right corner!
