From the Alumnae

Co-Presidents

Steph Quinn (1985) and Gemma Rice-Van Heer (2014)

In addition to the inevitable ups and downs of what was once considered ‘normal’ living, throughout 2021 we have continued to grapple with changes, challenges and difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the end of 2021 approaches and we reflect on the year that was and look to the future, feelings of exhaustion, gratitude, trepidation, curiosity, longing, pride, sadness and happiness arise - sometimes all at once.  Unfortunately, we had to cancel the majority of events, celebrations and reunions this year. Due to restrictions we were, again, unable to gather in the Chapel on 13 November 2021 for our Annual Mass of Remembrance.  However, Mass led by Father Stephen Fletcher was live-streamed, and we were delighted that many people were able to join us on-line.

We commend our School Principal, Adelina Melia-Douvos, and school staff who, in addition to their tireless work and efforts for the education and well-being of the students, continued to assist and support the Alumnae Association throughout the year.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to each of the members of the Committee for their commitment to the Alumnae Association and give a special mention to our Alumnae Relations Manager, Melinda Adams, for her hard work, agility and cheerfulness (in a constantly changing environment).

We wish all our precious alumnae and your families a safe and joyful Christmas and that you flourish with good health, fulfilment and happiness in 2022.
