Academic Awards
Congratulations to all students on their personal achievements in Semester 2.
The Major Awards Ceremony was an opportunity to recognise students who have excelled in their academic pursuits. We congratulate these students who received awards for their dedication in each given subject.
Category Awards as follows:
Presentation of First in Subject
The First Place in Subject Award goes to the student who has achieved the number 1 ranking of all the students in the subject.
Challenge Cup Award
The Challenge Cup is a collective Application to Learning Award. This award is based on the number of students from each of the five houses that have earned Application to Learning Awards. Congratulations to Rosarie House.
Academic Excellence: Emily Pike and Joshua Shaw
This is award recognises the student who has excelled in all areas of learning as well as their outstanding commitment and hard work is acknowledged.
Major Awards
Australian Catholic University Award: Joshua Shaw and Ivan Sokolov
The Australian Catholic University Award recognises the student who has demonstrated sustained application application and effort in their academic pursuit from Year 7-10.
Year 10 Science Award: Joshua Shaw
The Year 10 Science Award is sponsored by Enirgi Power Storage Wagga and is awarded annually to a student who has demonstrated outstanding engagement and commitment to areas of Science or Maths.
State Member for Wagga Wagga Award: Caitlin Wheeler
The State Member for Wagga Award recognises a consistent and sustained commitment to the pursuit of academic excellence.
RSL Citizenship Award: Elora Guirguis
This Award is donated by the Wagga Wagga Sub-Branch. The RSL Citizenship Award recognises students who display leadership, devotion to helping others and community spirit.
Australian Defence Force (ADF) Long Tan Leadership and Teamwork Award:
Joshua Shaw
This award is presented to a Year 10 student who displays excellence in leadership, teamwork, values, problem-solving, resourcefulness, communication, co-operation and community involvement.
Australian Defence Force (ADF) Future Innovators Award: Ivan Sokolov
The ADF Future Innovators Award is presented to a Year 10 student who demonstrates innovation in the learning areas of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
CSU Next Generation Award: Sophie Edmunds
The CSU Next Generation Excellence Award is presented to a Year 11 student who aligns with the CSU ethos 'creating a world worth living in'.
CSU Next Generation Excellence Scholarship Award: Mitchell Davoren
The CSU Next Generation Excellence Scholarship Award is a merit-based award offered exclusively to one Year 12 student who aligns with the CSU ethos 'creating a world worth living in'.
Merit Awards
Merit awards are presented to the student who places second in their subject. These were presented in their Year groups.
Application to Learning Awards
The Application to Learning Awards are presented to students who have consistently applied themselves to their own learning, achieving above 95% in all subjects. These were presented in their Year groups.
