Sports Awards

For the first time, the Sportsperson of the Year Awards were presented as part of the Academic Awards ceremony. It was fantastic to be able to recognise the performances of these students in front of the entire school community.

Congratulations to all individual and team athletic performances over the course of 2021.

The Junior and Senior Sportsperson for the year award sees students receive points for each level of representation they achieve for the College in each sport, the higher level the more points. Students are also awarded points for Age Champion and Sports Distinction Awards.

Junior Sportswoman: Philomena Grigg

Philomena represented the College in AFL, Cross Country, Diving, Netball, Rugby Union and Touch. Philomena represented NSWCCC at the NSW All Schools Diving where she finished 4th in the 14 Years Girls Springboard. Philomena was also a member of the Diocesan U15 and Preston-Butcher Cup touch teams who took out their competitions in 2021.

Junior Sportsman: River Phelps

River represented the College in Cross Country, Rugby League, Rugby Union and Swimming. River received the Sports Distinction Award in Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country and went on to represent the College in Swimming and Diocese in Cross Country.

Senior Sportswoman: Charlotte Priest

Charlotte represented the College in AFL, Basketball, Cross Country, League Tag, Netball and Touch in 2021. She received the Sports Distinction Award for Athletics and Cross Country and was selected in the Diocesan team. Charlotte was also selected in the NSWCCC team for the NSW All schools U15 ADL Trials and is currently competing in the NSW All Schools Athletics Championships.

Senior Sportsman: Ethan Watt

Ethan represented the College in Football, Futsal and Rugby Union in 2021. Ethan was an integral part of the College Open Boys Football and Futsal teams, receiving the Sports Distinction Award in both as well as Athletics Age Champion. Ethan also represented the Diocese at the NSWCCC Football Championships.
