MONASH UNIVERSITY and MOTOR SPORT

On behalf of Monash University and Motorsport Australia, we are excited to invite Murrumbeena Primary School, to the 2023 Monash University and Motorsport Australia Experience!

This event promises to be a day filled with exciting activities and presentations that will inspire and spark an interest in STEM for Year 5 to Year 8 students.

Experience the thrill of cutting-edge technology and innovation at the Motorsport Australia Experience, hosted by Monash University! Get up close and personal with student-built Formula Style race cars, specialised drones, rockets, robots, and take part in exciting workshop activities.

The day will begin with presentations from Monash University, Motorsport Australia and Monash Motorsport, an internationally competitive Formula Student team that designs, manufactures and competes with formula style race cars in Australia and overseas.

This will be followed by various interactive activities with a variety of Monash's student teams, and finish with lunch and a live driving demonstration of Monash Motorsport's newest car, M22.

This event will be a fantastic opportunity to spark a lifelong interest in STEM and learn more about the opportunities that Monash University has to offer. Students can witness, first-hand, the exciting and innovative day-to-day activities of our engineering students.

Time: 9:20 AM – 3:40 PM

Location: Woodside Building for Technology and Design, 20 Research Way, Monash University, Clayton, VIC 3800

Who: Year 5 – Year 8 students

Cost: Free

Registrations are limited and will be confirmed via email on the basis of students' Expression of Interest forms. These forms must be filled out by parents and contain all the relevant information about the event. Registrations will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, however a number of positions will be reserved for groups underrepresented in STEM as part of Monash Motorsport's mission to increase engagement.
