Assistant Principal Report - Junior School 

Welcome to the 2023 school year.  We ran a series of information sessions for all year levels over the past few weeks and it was terrific to see so many parents in attendance. 

Our Year 7 and 8 students are lucky to have a brand new building and are settling into their new space very well.  We refer to the new building as the JLC – Junior Learning Centre.

In particular, our new Year 7s have had a very smooth start to their secondary education and are starting to find their feet, as they become familiar with the routines and processes in secondary school. They are wearing their new uniforms proudly and it has been a pleasure to wander around the locker space and grounds at lunchtime and recess getting to know the students.

NAPLAN

The annual NAPLAN tests will be held from March 15 – 24th.  We will be conducting a ‘NAPLAN Practice Test Day’ on Monday March 6th. Students will participate in a practice run that is a short ‘combination’ style online test that will ensure they are familiar with the NAPLAN platform and the test process. Further information regarding NAPLAN will be sent out via Compass.
