LOWER SCHOOL HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION

BEACH LESSONS

As part of the lower school Physical Education (PE) program, students in Years 7, 8, and 9 attend Sorrento Beach (in their swimming gear) during the first four weeks of Term 1. All beach lessons will commence from your child’s second PE/Health lesson. The program aims to build friendships through team-building activities, as well as fitness through various activities on both the sand and in the water.

Students are asked to come prepared to these classes by having the following compulsory attire:

  • College hat
  • Appropriate bathers (College bathers are not required) under College sport shorts
  • Rash vest or old T-shirt to wear whilst at the beach
  • Thongs or runners
  • Towel

Students are required to get changed into their bathers within the major breaks (before school, recess and lunch). The other clothing articles (towels, hat etc.) should be retrieved from their lockers at the start of the PE period.
