Sports Update

Welcome back to the 2023 school year!  A few notes to start off the term. 

The school will conduct swimming time trials at MSAC on Friday, February 24. This year the trials will be managed differently. Due to new regulations from MSAC, we are no longer able to hire swim lanes before school hours. Therefore, the school will require a bus and lane hire during school hours. There will be a cost for students to attend that will be confirmed prior to commencing the trials. Students are required to swim fifty metres in their preferred stroke(s).

Students currently in year levels 3,4,5 & 6 are eligible to trial. 

The final PMPS Swim Squad will be selected from these trials and compete at the Southport District Swimming Carnival on Wednesday, March 1 at Prahran Aquatic Centre.

To register your child for the trials please email Stephen - Stephen.brewer@education.vic.gov.au by Friday, February 10. Once numbers have been confirmed we will be able to provide the community with costings for this event.

Other key reminders: 

• We kindly ask you to please remind students to bring a hat and water bottle to every Physical Education lesson. 
• Please remind students to wear appropriate footwear (runners/supportive shoes) to each Physical Education lesson.
