Parent Teacher Interviews

Alex McLeod

The conferences will take place in Week 3 on Tuesday 14th February 1.30pm – 6.30pm only (with a 6:40pm finish). Bookings will be made through Compass.

As a reminder, the newly developed Victorian Government Schools Agreement (VGSA) 2022, teacher work outside of the regular 38-hour week must be remunerated either through time-in-lieu or hour-for-hour payment. Parent-teacher interviews are an event that has traditionally taken place outside of the regular hours of duty for a teacher; this will remain the case and the school will manage this by reducing professional learning meetings across multiple weeks this term.

This change has necessitated adjustments to our regular parent-teacher interview schedule and as such:

  • Teachers will be available for interviews only between 1:30pm and 6:30pm (with a 6:40pm finish) on Tuesday 14th February.
  • Between 1:30pm and 3:30pm, students will be supervised by specialist teachers and non-classroom teaching staff.

The VGSA 2022 applies to all Victorian Government schools and it is the duty of the Principal to ensure the conditions of the agreement are in place for all staff. Please don’t hesitate to reach out directly to Rohan if you have any further questions.

The conferences will be conducted via video conferencing platform, Microsoft Teams. The link will be sent to you via email in advance of the interviews commencing. The conferences will be 10 minutes in duration. If you require a face to face interview please contact your child’s teacher directly.
