Middle School

3/4 LP & 3/4 DA

Over the past two weeks the students have been refreshing themselves on a variety of topics and skills. In writing we have been focusing a lot on improving our skills in narrative storytelling, making sure we have good clear plans and can structure our stories well.

In Reading  we've been comparing two texts together for similarities and differences (Goldilocks and the Three Bears and Goldy Luck and the Three Pandas) or relating a text to the world and their own knowledge. We've also focused on making inferences and predictions as well as learning how to write clear summaries.

Our Maths focus has been on fractions and worded problems in the lead up to NAPLAN.

A sugary extra-curricular activity we got to enjoy was making pancakes on Pancake Day, where students definitely had their syrupy fill. Our Golf Clinics have also been a big hit, with many students enjoying learning different skills. The NRL clinic also gave students an opportunity to develop some other new skills.

Everyone has had a great start to the year and we look forward to a fun and successful 2023!
