Dear Parent/Guardian, 

What a wonderful last couple of weeks we have had at OPS. Our kids have started this Term brilliantly and have stepped back in routine so smoothly. I would like to thank parents, carers and families for your continuous support to sustain the high-standards for the beginning of 2023.  

I hope that all our families have familiarised themselves with COMPASS and are recieving the key messages from the school. This platform will be central to communicating with families and teachers.

I would like to thank our new leadership Team for their tremendous efforts to make the start of the year so great. Great job Team!

SCHOOL REVIEW UPDATE

This week we are continuing with our School Review Process. After this process, the new Strategic Plan for the next 4 years will be set for the school. Thank you to the parent focus group for supporting us through this process.

Congratulations again to our newly appointed school Captains for 2023; Mackenzie T and Isabelle G. They will represent our school during assemblies, lead Student Voice and actively promote a school that puts students at the forefront in all of our decisions.

School Communication and Compass

Officer Primary School has transitioned to a new School Management Platform called COMPASS. All communication will be sent to parents via COMPASS now and in the future. If your email address has changed or you have not received your username and password for COMPASS please call the school and update this information. Please also install the COMPASS app on your phones for mobile access. 

New School Website-COMING SOON 

We are in the process of transitioning to a new School Website for Officer Primary School. We anticipate the new website to be live by the end of Term 1. Stay tuned.

 Signing In/Out of School 

All parent/guardians will be required to sign in/out their child using the COMPASS kiosk at reception. Parents are not to collect students directly from their classrooms. 

Key Dates Calendar 2023 

All Key Dates for the each Term will be shared via our Newsletter and the school website. Parents will have access to all the key events in advance. This will include all events led by our PFA Team.

Literacy and Numeracy Student Enrichment Program 

Students who require extra support or extension will be coached by an experienced teacher in smaller groups to further improve their Literacy and Numeracy needs. If you would like more information about this Program please contact Kirsten Morris our Student Enrichment Coach
