POSITIVE SOUL SEARCHING DURING LENT IS VERY REWARDING

One of the best free entertainments available to all of us is “people watching”.  It’s so simple, all you have to do is sit back and allow the wonderful cavalcade of humanity to pass across your screen of life: politicians, movie stars, royalty, television personalities, footballers, pop stars and the list is almost endless.  But – where are those same people from ten, fifteen twenty years ago?  All you have to do is to speak with someone from a different generation to your own to realise that every generation has it’s own heroes and other variations of people who soon like ourselves-simply become part of the unrecorded history.

One of the little frights for people watching is when you see yourself pass across your screen!  Who’s this character? Do I want this person to stay on my screen or do I wish the departure to be swift; what do I see about this person that I like?

What causes me to be embarrassed? And a thousand other thoughts.

Of course, this is a reasonable time of the year to be thinking this way, for LENT is the season for a little positive soul searching, to see how my life is not only rewarding for me, but, a positive influence for my family and friends.

People who are soul searching usually seek to become more authentic, live in alignment with what they truly want on the deepest level and own their truth.

To do this, one must learn to quiet the "otherwise very loud voices that often speak—the voice of your mind, the voice of your heart—to hear the deeper voice of your intuition."

CONGRATULATIONS

We congratulate Mrs Kerry Morse and her husband Alan on becoming grandparents for the very first time. Harlow Christopher Keating was born last Thursday to Katelyn and Matt.

We also congratulate Jennie Hayes on being the ‘mother of the groom’ when she attends the marriage of her son Joe Hayes and Caitlin McAullay in Western Australia this coming weekend.

DARREN AMD BREANNA

On Wednesday during AUSLAN our students will be very lucky to experience a class with Darren and Breanna and their interpreter.  Darren and Breanna are Deaf and are part of our AUSLAN network.  It will be a wonderful experience for our students to see first-hand how these wonderful people cope with their disability.  We are looking forward to this experience and are confident that our students will gain a respectful insight into the world of the hearing impaired.
