Provide you with clarity and expectation of all things St Mary’s. At the beginning

Of the school year please refresh your child and yourselves around uniform, 

Daily procedures, School Fees and Processes and Communication Modes and 

Procedures. This booklet can also be found consistently on Compass.

St Mary’s School Improvement Plan 

Please find attached St Mary’s new and current School Improvement Plan. The 

Staff collaboratively composed our future plan using data and consultation 

From all stakeholders. Our objectives will know guide our professional learning,

Teaching and Learning practice and how we align human and financial 

Resources. Our community will continue to be informed of connections

and strategic actions which will ensure our commitment and accountability.

St Mary’s Master Plan

St Mary’s is so excited to release to our community our Master Plan. Our

Master plan also included all stakeholders voice and consultation and engaged 

Gray & Puksand Architects who specialise in educational settings. The master 

Plan will guide our improved physical resources to accommodate our 

Educational direction will ensuring we have contemporary and inviting learning 

Spaces for our students and staff. The Master plan support school 

Improvement for 10 to 15 years and is used to apply for grants and explicit 

Design moving forward. The master plan can also be found on our school 

Website.

Changes to uniform

Last year the community was made aware that there will be some future changes to 

our uniform. The time to re-evaluate and review was timely with the discontinuation 

of the sports style jacket. The community was invited to provide input and ideas 

around future changes and these have been used in forming future directions.

Common themes will be shared with the School Advisory council and continued 

discussions will occur at leadership. In summary the community expressed a need

for; comfort, cost, unisex and warmth. St Mary’s is in the design phase of some new 

items and we look forward to sharing these with you before the end of term. Please 

Know that there will be a 12 month roll over period for any new items. 

Canteen Community Consultation 

Over the past year it has been recommended that St Mary’s review its lunch order 

Provider. Often we have new interest contact the school and it is important that we

Seek community consultation in what we value, want and need from our external 

Providers. In our next newsletter we will ask families to provide feedback on what 

You feel it is important to have on offer for our children’s lunches. The survey will be 

open for a fortnight and we hope we have many willing to take part. 

Compass - The reason for change

This year St Mary's has rolled over our Student and school management platform 

to Compass. Compass offers a multitude of functions that St Mary's needs and all are

housed in one platform.

Currently, we are in the transitional phase and we thank you all for your patience at this time. There is great learning and adjustment happening and we will keep you informed during this time.
