Knowing Me, Knowing You
Well done to all Monty children for your active engagement in our whole school Inquiry unit! Our teachers are thrilled with the level of curiosity, creativity and collaboration that is being demonstrated by students in classes. I do hope that your child is coming home and talking to you about some of their learning experiences!
Colour Explosion Run!
The excitement is beginning to build around the upcoming Colour Explosion! There is already fierce competition between each class in regards to raising funds! All funds this year will go towards the creation of a natural-type play ground near the staff car park.
Play space to be developed:
Some draft landscape/architectural plans are displayed in the office - feel free to come and have a look. We are committed to providing the children at Monty with some more fabulous outdoor spaces, so please get on board with our Colour Explosion fundraiser so we can make this happen!
The new relocatable classrooms were dramatically craned in at the end of last week- we cannot wait to settle into these spaces. Senior students (and teachers) are also pretty excited about the installation of a new toilet block as well!
Our first School Council will be held on Tuesday 3rd March at 6:30pm, followed by the Annual Meeting which is open to parents of MPS students. Thank you to Scott Blackford (dad to Spencer in Grade 5) and Amy Barclay (mum of Caitlin in Grade 1) who will be filling the two vacant positions on council.
Have a great weekend!
