On Reflection
I’ve been reflecting on the importance of relationship over the last couple of weeks. When we take the time to explore the Bible, we see the continued importance that our Heavenly Father placed on relationship. The Israelites went through history, both the good and the bad, as a community. From their time in Egypt through their time in the Wilderness and as they entered the promised land, the Israelites travelled as a community.
In the Book of Acts a young fledgling community came together as one. They met daily, doing life together, sharing meals together and the love that the Lord had planted in their hearts.
As a community it is vital that we live as one. We are all unique in our own ways, but this is what enriches the community we live in. Learning to look out for each other, being there when we fall and when we have success, crying together and laughing together. I would encourage all of us to embrace the community we live in and run as a community together.
God bless,

Outdoor Ed
Recently the Year 10 Outdoor Ed class went on a three day trek of the universally famous Heysen Trail. Like early settlers looking for a place to call home, the students wandered wearily for three days. They were loaded up like pack animals, with all of the essentials carried on their backs. This included food, water, clothing, tent, sleeping gear, cooking stove and money for macca's. The trek started at Tunkallila Beach, just outside of Deep Creek and ended at Kings Beach, right next to Victor Harbour. It was an arduous 35 kilometers of rugged coastline, open farmland and harsh bushland. Despite some trials and tribulations, the biggest of those being some big old juicy blisters, the students stuck to the task at hand and completed the trek with a stoicism that would of made a 1950s dad proud. Every student should be well-pleased with their efforts. A big thankyou to Mr Tom Neville and Mr James Leigh who assisted on the hike.
