CROSS COUNTRY

On Monday 6 May, children from Years 2 to 6 participated in trials for Cross Country at Cook Oval. Congratulations to the following children who qualified, and will compete in the Diocesan Cross Country held in Barraba on Friday 17 May. A big thank you to the parent helpers who volunteered on the day and well done the participants for their sportsmanship!

WEE WAA SHOW LUNCHEON

This year St Joseph’s P & F has been given the opportunity to cater for the luncheon at the Wee Waa Show on the 17 and 18 of May. As the drought continues, this will be a great way to help fundraise for the upgrading of the air conditioning at school. Volunteers are needed for these days. However, if you are unable to help, we will also require donations of cakes, slices, and quiches.

NAPLAN

Next Tuesday 14, Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 May, Years 3 and 5 will be completing their NAPLAN testing. Good luck!

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

Parent Information Night for students in Year 3 who are partaking in their first Holy Communion will be held on Tuesday 21 May at St Andrews Catholic Church.

GYMNASTICS

Sports on Thursdays this term will be focusing on Gymnastics. A big thank you to Dance Fever Multisport for providing the equipment and instructing the students!

NEW SENSORY ROOM EQUIPMENT

This week we received some exciting new equipment for the sensory room, including a crash mat and a lycra tunnel.

WINTER UNIFORM

The official day for students to be dressed in their full winter uniform this term is Thursday 13 June, after the Queen's Birthday Holiday. Students may wear their full winter uniform prior to this date.

WOOLWORTHS EARN & LEARN

This term St Joseph's will be participating in the Woolworths Earn & Learn promotion by collecting stickers. Sticker sheets are available to collect from the school office to put these in.
