The heavens opened as we got started on the Working Bee on Friday! Amongst the downpour, some very brave staff, parents and students got together and moved all the P&F stock and equipment that was stored around the school, as well as Sports equipment and Performing Arts props. I'd like to say a very big thank you to everyone who helped on Friday afternoon, it will certainly make things easier with all the P&F supplies in one place!
We are putting a call out for donations for the Easter Raffle at the end of term. The basket for donations will be at Reception and we will be accepting donations from now until the end of term.
Thank you very much also to the McKinnon family for baking biscuits for both the Senior and Junior raffle and those families who purchased tickets for Thursday and Friday's Cake Raffle. We raised $57.80.
With the Junior Assembly now being held on Thursday afternoons, Cake Raffle tickets will be available for the Junior Students to purchase in the courtyard on Thursday mornings.
Thank you also to parents who have popped their name down on the sign up sheet at the Office to supply a Cake Raffle prize - it's great to see the sheets filling up.
Raffle Tickets are 20 cents each, or 6 for $1, so don't forget your spare change!
The first P&F Meeting will be held on Wednesday the 19th of February at 7pm in the school Staff Room. It would be great to see you there! If you can't make the meeting, but would still like to be kept updated and involved with P&F activities, please feel free to get in touch with me at: mprps.pf@gmail.com
As usual, you can help support the school by purchasing your bread and other delicious treats from Bakers Delight at Brentford Square. If you mention you're from the Mt Pleasant Road Primary and Kindergarten community before you pay, they will donate a percentage of your total back to the school and kindergarten. Thanks again to Greg and his team for their continued support.
Jess Sterritt Walker is our Community Support Representative. If you find you need a bit of extra support, please don't hesitate to reach out to Jess. And if you're able to offer support such as grocery shopping, or cooking a few extra meals for families in need, please get in touch with Jess so she can add you to her database of volunteers.
