2020 Prep Transition

2020 Prep Transition report

Last week we welcomed many of our 2020 Preps into school to have two classroom experiences. They had a great time playing inside and on the playground, making new friends and catching up with current ones. We are looking forward to them starting next year!

I would like to share some appreciations to people for their support of our transition program:

  • The grade five students who assisted in the classrooms. You were all such a wonderful support to the teachers and made the new Preps feel so welcome. I am sure that the Preps will be glad to see some familiar faces next year! You are wonderful role models of our Tribes Agreements and have shown ability to take initiative and lead. Thank you to the following students:

Bastian Meyer, Setia Darmawan, Keach Carmon, Arbi Sulaj, William Christie and Aiden Tschappeller from 5KT, Stephen Sully, Marnie Rowe, Noah Pitliangas and Grace Wong from 5BC,  Amelia Williamson, Oscar Hauge, Efe Anli and Lila Ryan from 5TS

  • 5TS for organising and facilitating a sports rotation on the oval for our current Preps
  • Tara and Classroom Education Staff for the work you have invested into organising  the days, with name tags, information packs, grade lists and support in the classrooms
  • Yvonne and office staff for communicating information to families and administration support
  • Guest speakers who came along to our parent information sessions (Andy and Trish from the Bendigo Bank, Nelly and Luke from TheirCare and Angela from Parents and Friends)
  • School staff and the leadership team for your flexibility in using various spaces in the school and timetable changes
  • The Prep team for their ongoing support in the success of transitioning our new Prep students.

If I have left anyone out, I apologise and please know that your efforts are appreciated- it takes a whole community to make this program a success!

Thanks,

Karri
