Important Reminder – Kiss & Go Zone

With our growing student numbers comes an increase in traffic during pick up and drop off times, so it is even more important that families observe the signs at our 'Kiss and Go' zone at the front of the school. Please ensure you don’t leave your vehicle in these areas as the traffic becomes congested and it is extremely frustrating for others if they are unable to pause in these areas to drop their children off. Thanks for your co-operation with this issue.

Family Maths Evening

Thank you to all those families who were able to attend the Primary Family Maths Evening on Monday night.  A great number of families attended to share in some of the activities our students are exposed to throughout the Maths block each day.  I would like to thank Mr Lord for organising the event and our Merbein P-10 staff who assisted with the facilitation of the activities on the night. Most importantly I’d like to congratulate our students who did a wonderful job of explaining and running the individual activities on the night!!

Chinese Visitors & NAIDOC Celebration

It was terrific to welcome our special guests from Dali No 1 Middle School to Merbein P-10 College on Saturday morning. Mrs Luitjes, Mr Johnson & Mrs Finn were there to greet our guests and they have settled in beautifully. Our visiting students are being hosted by local families, which is fantastic and a great experience for our visitors. Following our official welcome at Monday morning’s assembly our Chinese visitors joined in with our NAIDOC week activities.  This was a great opportunity for them to hear from our indigenous guest speakers. Our Chinese visitors, along with our own students, learnt about indigenous games, culture and dance, which was a tremendous way to start the week.
