Principal News

What if instead of 'behind' this group of kids is advanced because of this?

What if they have more empathy, they enjoy family connection, they can be more creative and entertain themselves, they love to read, they love to express themselves in writing.

What if they enjoy the simple things, like their own backyard and sitting near a window in the quiet.

What if they notice the birds and the dates the different flowers emerge, and the calming renewal of a gentle rain shower?

What if this generation is the ones to learn to cook, organize their space, do their laundry, and keep a well-run home?

What if they learn to stretch a dollar and to live with less? What if they learn to plan shopping trips and meals at home.

What if they learn the value of eating together as a family and finding the good to share in the small delights of the everyday?

What if they are the ones to place great value on our teachers and educational professionals, librarians, public servants and the previously invisible essential support workers like truck drivers, grocers, cashiers, custodians, logistics, and health care workers and their supporting staff, just to name a few of the millions taking care of us right now while we are sheltered in place?

What if among these children, a great leader emerges who had the benefit of a slower pace and a simpler life. What is he or she truly learn what really matters in this life?

What if they are ahead?

Child Safe:  Managing screen time, health and wellbeing

It’s important you keep a balanced approach to home learning. Time spent using digital devices for learning should be broken up with physical exercise and offline learning tasks often.

It’s also important that during this time of remote learning we maintain safe and responsible use of information and communication technologies.

Changes to Booklist / Stationery provider for 2022

School Council has engaged with multiple suppliers and have endorsed the use of a different booklist/stationery provider, and in doing so have outsourced the entire process.

Campion Education will be managing our booklist for 2022 onwards. Orders must be placed directly on Campion Education’s website. Orders will not be placed through the school.

For more information and important dates for ordering, please read the attached letter.

Congratulations and well done on a great two weeks of learning via Seesaw. Look at how many posts of work you are all submitting. The staff are all VERY proud of you.

Teacher/Integration aides are often the unsung heroes of education.

Aides can be the left and right hand to the teacher; crucial to the teachers' day.

Aides are incredibly talented, intelligent and supportive members of the CSPS team.

Aides support in ways that often can go unnoticed but greatly appreciated eg. taking small groups on Google Meets.

There are numerous stories of wonderful work completed by aides at CSPS – they are superstars.

NAPLAN RESULTS FOR 2021

Families may have heard in the media that the 2021 NAPLAN results have been released.  The NAPLAN results will be received shortly by the school and we will be working hard to get this information out to families as soon as we possibly can during remote and flexible learning.  Thank you for your patience with this.
