Wellbeing
Welcome to the end of an interesting Term 2.
We made it.
This term has been filled with many events, some exciting, some a bit challenging and some simply ordinary. Seems to be life with its ups and downs.
At OLHC we have loved our SWELL Art sessions with Jen and Faith until this was put on hold due to lockdown. However, it is with great delight they will return with their creativity and talents to work with SWELL groups 6-9 in Term 3. Thanks Jen and Faith.
Our Wellbeing leaders Sam and Ally have continued to lead us during assemblies, visiting the Juniors on their playground to check on their wellbeing and being 2 of the many happy faces around our school.
The children have continued their wellbeing class learning with activities from Rights, Resilience and Respectful Relationships. This will continue into Term 3 with an online Parent Evening planned for Wednesday September 1st. More about this next term.
I had the privilege of dropping into a class party for Mr Mujie yesterday, planned secretly by his class as a big surprise for his last teaching day with them. Balloons, streamers, music and a wonderful assortment of food was carefully placed around the 3/4MS classroom. The children were dancing, eating, laughing and having their final happy times with Mr. Mujie. It was impressive to see the organisation from these young children, even labelling some food as ‘gluten free’. What great initiative and independence!
I wish you all a happy and relaxing time with your children if you happen to be on holidays.
Perhaps even go looking for the Eltham Copper Butterfly!
Take care and keep well.
