5/6JC -Religion 

For the first four weeks of Term 3, 5/6JC and the Senior classes are going to be exploring the Sacrament of the First Eucharist. 

To begin the topic, this week, the class discussed the order of the Sacraments and learnt that the Eucharist is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation. On a poster, the students worked in groups of 3 to present their understanding of the different sacraments that are possible throughout one's life. 

Students then each had a turn to record what they already know about the Eucharist - Where does it happen? Who is involved? What takes place? Why do we do it?

Over the next few weeks, 5/6JC will continue to learn about an understand the Sacrament of the Eucharist and investigate why it is a sacrament of Initiation. They will explore how it is similar and different from Baptism and Confirmation.
