Performing Arts

Welcome to Term 2!

Creative Music lessons and Performing Arts ensembles commence in Week 3 for returning students. We are also taking enrolments for students wanting to learn guitar, piano/keyboard, violin or singing at school. Lessons rotate through the school day so that students don't miss the same class each week. For information brochures please ask a Music or Drama teacher, or stop by the Performing Arts Office. We can also answer any questions you might have. We are excited to announce that we have a guitar teacher running lessons at the College - Vanessa Mayne. Vanessa will be teaching guitar, piano and voice. She will run a free Lunchtime Guitar Workshop on Tuesday 10th May so that interested students can have the chance to meet her and have a group lesson with her.

Students learning instruments have the opportunity to perform for family and friends as part of our semester Showcase. We have not been able to put on a concert since 2019 so we are delighted to be able to resume performances this year. The Showcase for this semester will take place on Thursday 26 May from 7-8pm in our Auditorium and all are welcome.

Finally we welcome a new member of staff working in Performing Arts and AV support. Adele is a past student of Marian College, and it's great to have her back working in this role.

We wish everyone a happy and successful term. If you have any queries about any aspect of the program please contact me at the College.
