Greetings from Shaun 2

Athletics Day!

As the term is slowly drawing to a close, Athletics day was such a great way to finally come together as a school community and to put our best foot forward in celebration!

While the day is primarily about personal bests and athletic achievement, for which I am tremendously proud of everyone and their achievements, I am also so very proud of the students, teachers, parents and wider school community for the outpouring of support and encouragement. For those who tried their best and for those who took a hop, skip and jump out of their comfort zone.  While we can't all be good at everything, the key is to never give up, and whether it was digging a little deeper in to the tank to finish the 800 metres or holding your tongue to the side with sheer determination as you clear that last hurdle, I know that all the words of encouragement, the cheers and support all help. So thank you to those who never gave up and thank you to everyone who supported them.

A big thank-you to Dale, who puts in a huge effort co-ordinating and planning the event to run so smoothly every year.

Thank you to all the staff who were worked tirelessly to rake the sand, record PBs, setup the hurdles and all the little things to ensure Athletics day 2022 was a huge success.

Thank you to all the parents, carers and extended family members who showed up to support the events, to cheer on their loved ones and come together as a community.

Most importantly, thank you to the students, what a tremendous display of sportsmanship and athletic ability.

A special thanks to May for capturing some beautiful action shots from the day.

Please note that at the end of Term 1 we will be adjusting the frequency of the newsletter to fortnightly.
