Update

After ending Term 1 with our Subway Special Food Day, thank you Julia and the eagerly anticipated Easter raffle, thank you Annamaria, we have certainly kicked off Term 2 with a bang!

The return of our Mother’s Day stall was a huge success. Thank you to Donna for co-ordinating the event along with her helpers on the day, Annamaria, Julia, Rob and Donna’s mum Gwyn. A special mention to Gwyn for all of her sewing for the stall and to Mindi Robbins for her generous donation of handmade jewellery for the stall. The children were so excited to be able to purchase gifts for their mums.

Grandparents’ Day was a special event and it is a pleasure to be able to provide a special morning tea for grandparents and special friends to enjoy. As always it could not have occurred without the generous time given by helpers. I would like to sincerely thank Annamaria, Donna, Julia, Donna, Melissa, Thomas and Vickie  along with Mel and Julie from school. Cynthia and former CA/school parent Maria also helped out during their break from the Book Fair.

Unfortunately our Mother’s Movie night could not go ahead but there will be a further announcement about this so watch this space.

Coming up this term will be the Special Sushi/Rice Paper Roll Food Day  which Tanya and Julia are currently working on. Vickie is also working on bringing back a favourite, the Cadbury Fundraiser.

Please make sure you save the date for the

St John's School Trivia Night on Saturday, 30 July. It’s sure to be lots of fun! Amy is busily working behind the scenes to make this a memorable night for everyone to come together as a community. We are all certainly looking forward it.

We will be giving the school $10,000 to pay for the new furniture around the school as well as new equipment and Lego for the STEM room. Future fundraising will go towards the robotics and electronic resources for the STEM room.

Finally, after taking on the role of CA Chairperson during a turbulent time for us all, Amy has decided to step down but will continue as a CA member. If you are interested in taking on this role, please let us know. Many thanks to Amy for all of your efforts and ideas, it was greatly appreciated!

Our next CA meeting is Tuesday, 7 June and everyone is welcome!

If you are interested in participating or simply want to meet more people from the school community, we would love to meet you. Feel free to contact Michelle Plant on aplant08@gmail.com for any details.

We wish you all a happy term.
