Love One Another

Gospel of John 13: 31 - 35

I shall not be with you much longer. I give you a new commandment: love one another; just as I have loved you,

you also must love one another.

By this love you have for one another, everyone will know that you are my disciples.’

Last week was a wonderful opportunity to embrace our community connections at St John's Primary School with our parents, grandparents and special friends attending school with us in the morning.

Students welcomed their grandparents and special visitors at the beginning of the day and escorted them to their learning spaces around the school. There were several interactive experiences which included school tours, interactive games, interviews about childhood, aging apps and visits to our school book fair.  Time together was greatly valued by both the vistors and students, as stories were compared from different generations. Due to the business of our lives our children often miss these opportunities to communicate face to face.

Following this our grandparent and special friends sat together in our church listening to Father Dispin's message from the Gospel of John, reminding us of the commandment to 'love one another' and believe.

Thanks to everyone who prepared morning tea for our special friends, as it was lovely to see so many people sharing and interacting.
