Important ATTENDANCE Information
MEC has recently undertaken a review of our Attendance Processes and wants to highlight some key points:
- MEC follows the Attendance Guidelines outlined by the Department of Education
- The MEC Attendance rate is 95% attendance
- There are clear expectations for what is deemed as an "approved" absence as agreed on by The Department and MEC
- All absences need to be supported by approved documentation (e.g. a medical certificate)
- Please notify the relevant House Support Officer (HSO) of any time your student will be / is absent AND follow it with documentation of an approved absence
- Any absence that doesn't meet the DET guidelines will be classified as an "unapproved" absence and will results in a reduced attendance percentage for you student.
Uniform
As we move into the cooler weather please remember to wear correct school uniform.
- Shoes need to be black leather polishable school shoes.
- All apparel needs to be approved items of uniform.
- Hoodies are not to be worn at school.
