Visual Communication Design
Congratulations to year 12 Visual Communication Design students for completing their SAT folio and examination. They showed great determination to overcome the various challenges associated with remote learning throughout the year. We wish them all the best and hope that they continue to put their creativity to good use in their adult life.
Year 7 Art Woodmans Hill Archie Prize – Peoples Choice Award
Inspired by the Archibald Prize our year 7 art students produced fantastic portraits of Australian creatives. A selection of these works were shortlisted and displayed by the general office. The school community were invited to vote for their favourite and the winner was Donald Carter. He received a certificate and prize pack of painting materials – we’re excited to see what he produces next!
9/10 Visual Communication Design
This term VCD elective students learned about the communication design field and produced their own skateboard designs in response to a brief. Students explored a range of themes, from ‘intergalactic’ to ‘morphed’. They demonstrated excellent creativity and were excited to take them home!
Year 7 Arts Academy
Mr. Fields, Ms. Hammond and Ms. Crosbie presented the year 7 arts academy students with their badges this term and helped the class celebrate the completion of their first final artwork, a John Wolseley inspired collaborative piece. This wonderful artwork will soon be displayed for the rest of the school community to enjoy.
